15 Years Experience in the Skincare and Wellness Field!
After graduating in the top of her class from the Master Esthetics Program at Bellus Academy, Ashley trained in prestigious private Spa & Esthetics programs with Circadia, Dermodality, Alexandria Professionals, and Murad.
This business originated as a mobile treatment service, from 2010-2012, providing convenience and competitive rates to clients all over San Diego. In early 2013, Ash brought her skincare practice to premiere cosmetology establishments before finding a private office in Mission Valley, San Diego in 2016.
In 2024, Sugar & Spice Skincare welcomed assistant practitioner Evelyn Trejo-Castillo, and massage therapist Andre Nelson (of High IQ Massage) to our team, as well as office assistant Deanna Sterling in 2025.

Ashley prides herself on her customer service skills and being an honest practitioner. She won’t try to upsell you on products and treatments that you don’t need. Ashley prides herself on minimalism with products, and will make recommendations for where you can find the new products you need. As a skincare specialist, Ashley has a particular focus on addressing the needs of clients with sensitive, reactive skin. She understands that a compromised skin barrier can lead to a host of issues like acne, premature wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, dryness, irritation, and inflammation. Ashley is dedicated to formulating and customizing gentle, nourishing skincare regimens that work to repair and strengthen the skin's natural protective barrier. Healthy, balanced skin equals gorgeous, glowing, youthful skin! Through her in-depth consultations and personalized treatment plans, Ashley helps her clients achieve healthier, more resilient skin. She is committed to using clean, high-quality ingredients that soothe and calm sensitized complexions, while gradually restoring the skin's optimal function and radiance. Ashley's clients can feel confident that she has the expertise to address their unique skincare concerns and provide lasting results.

Hair Removal: Ashley has created a proprietary blend of natural ingredients to formulate her “sugaring gel” product which is free from irritants, resins, harmful chemicals, and fragrances. With years of experience in the skincare field, she's mastered the sugaring technique to ensure the hair removal process is as comfortable and painless as possible for you.

Additional Skills & Experience: Ashley is also a private educator in her field, having trained multiple skincare practitioners. She has over 10 years of experience caring for and treating oncology patients for the skin issues that can arise from chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. Ash has also lent her services to hospices, volunteering to provide comfort, care, and calming relaxation services like light massage to patients. She has also offered gentle skincare and basic hygiene services to help provide dignity to those patients during their most vulnerable times.
